Find out why HomeShul is one of the fastest growing

Jewish Education Programs around!

HomeShul is the unique Jewish Education program that was created in 2009 by Rabbi Ira and Cantor Beth. With small groups of students in Santa Clarita, San Fernando, and Conejo Valleys, HomeShul became the perfect way to unite a demographically diverse group and make a community of them and their families by gathering once a month to celebrate Judaism and learn together, as well as having regular weekly classes.  Their dynamic program, which includes performing and creative arts projects, has helped the HomeShul enrollment which has tripled since its inception!

What Exactly is HomeShul?

CONVENIENT: HomeShul is a quality Jewish Education brought to your home.

PERSONALIZED: Families get to choose the friends their children study with; the day and time that fits their schedule; the number of hours per week they want to learn; and the Judaic Electives they are interested in learning about! All HomeShul packages include Family Celebrations where everyone in the community will have a chance to gather to meet new friends, connect, share, and learn.

EDUCATIONAL & SOCIAL: HomeShul groups are small. This creates wonderful opportunities for learning and making friends. HomeShul helps students to engage in their learning, to retain what they have learned, and to work together as a community while learning. Students get more personal attention than in a typical religious school class and get a social experience lacking in private lessons.

UNIQUE: NO other program has classes which are taught exclusively and personally by a Rabbi AND a Cantor.

● MODERN: Students are engaged with auditory, visual, tactile & kinesthetic learning. The program also integrates music, art, drama, food, and humor. By using this type of Experiential and Project-Based curriculum, it keeps the students interested and involved.

DIVERSE EXPERIENCE: Rabbi Ira and Cantor Beth have more than 25 years of combined experience as Religious School Directors, Jewish Educators, and Professional Performers!

FUN:  Kids like coming and learning about Judaism!!

PRIVATE AND SEMI-PRIVATE LESSONS ARE ALWAYS AVAILABLE AS AN ALTERNATIVE TO GROUP CLASSES, AND ARE MANDATORY FOR ALL BAR/BAT MITZVAH STUDENTS FROM 6 TO 9 MONTHS PRIOR TO THEIR SERVICE.
