Dear Cantor Beth and Rabbi Ira,

Thank you so much for helping me prepare for my Bat Mitzvah! I loved every Hebrew lesson that we had whether we were learning new prayers, working on my speech, or just talking about life in general!  And thank you for running my service!!  I received multiple comments about how awesome you both are, and I agree with every one of them!!  I know that I’veonly known you for a little over a year, but I feel like I could come to you about anything.  You are truly the best!!  I couldn’t have done it without you!!  I miss you both so much!! Thanks again!!!

Love , Hannah

Dear Rabbi Ira and Cantor Beth,

Thank you so much for teaching me everything I know about my religion for the past 3 years! I’m so grateful to be a Bat Mitzvah, and I owe it all to you guys. You were always very patient, kind, and loving to our Hebrew group. I’m very sad to be graduating from our HomeShul class! It’s bittersweet. Thank you guys very much for being awesome educators and great people!

Love,

Rachel 🙂

Hi Rabbi Ira,

The ceremony was more special than I could have imagined. I love how intimate it was, and to have it under our avocado tree, made it extra. Thank you and Cantor Beth for your ease of facilitation and depth of content. Everyone has raved about the ceremony and how amazing you two are. My family wants to attend your future services. My cousin Larry [Rabbi Lawrence Kushner] made an extra point to express how great of a rabbi he thinks you are. You both have made this crazy time so easy and special. I am forever grateful, and look forward to working with you and Cantor Beth when it is time for Sylvie to have her Bat Mitzvah.

I hope you both have an easy and sweet Passover and look forward to staying connected.

With gratitude,

Cantor Beth and Rabbi Ira,

I want to thank you for putting so much love and passion into the ceremony for Marcello. It was felt by everyone. I always find your services, as modern as they are, rooted in such history (Ira’s family Torah) and ritual and that is what I love about them and what I believe spoke to our guests.

You made Marcello feel safe, and he was able to stand proud.  You treated him with so much respect despite his sometimes challenging nature.  The Shaun White game story you helped him speak about was poignant. He is actually a thinker as well as a doer.I’m glad we’ve paved a lifelong path of ritual with you. And it was bittersweet for all the Jewdio City peeps, as Marcello is the last of that crew. You have affected so many of our lives over the years and created memories that our kids will take with them forever. How lucky are they!

See you soon.  As the Grateful Dead say, ” Keep on Truckin!”Lots of Love,
Maria and Adam

Dear Rabbi Ira and Cantor Beth,

Our whole family feels so full from Jonah’s Bar Mitzvah experience.  Thank you so very much for tutoring him along these many years and inspiring him to give his best.  I think it is something he will remember during his lifetime and look back on with gratitude.

We received many compliments from our friends on our rabbi choice!  Your very special formula of depth sprinkled with humor is very singularly yours. We really want you to know, Rabbi Ira, that your very personal and heartfelt approach that attracted us to you so many years ago really touches people, even strangers who are not familiar with Judaism.  That is a real statement about what you offer to your congregants.

And, Cantor Beth, many of my friends and family commented to me about your warmth and your sensational singing voice.  Such a winning combination for a beautiful cantor.  And, several of our guests specifically commented on what a sweetheart your Jonah is and what a lovely family you are.  The fruits of your hard work shows.

We appreciate you both so much.  Thank you for making Jonah’s day so special and memorable.

With Love and Appreciation,
Andrea and Jens

Dear Rabbi Ira,

My family and I want to sincerely thank you for making this extremely difficult time easier to deal with.  Phil’s “Celebration of Life” ceremony was just so appropriate.  Many family members, friends, and business associates commented on how great you were. You helped make this very sad day so much brighter!  We also appreciated that you came back to the house to spend more time with us. You are truly a very special man and a reminder of how wonderful our religion is.

Dear Cantor Beth,

I wanted to let you know that Parker is so excited about practicing Hebrew for his Bar Mitzvah.  I have never seen him so happy about it!  He is so proud of himself, and that he can sing all of the prayers without you helping him by singing in the background when he is practicing.  It’s really wonderful that this process is actually enjoyable for him!
Many thanks,

Tammy W.
